The Bloggers Soiree will be hosting a charity benefit for Bottomless Closet NYC called "Fashion is Never Bottomless" on Monday, December 13 7:00PM at Soiree Nightclub on 199 Bowery St New York, NY 10002. The group hopes to raise over $3,000 for Bottomless Closet NYC, a non-profit organization providing clothing, resume writing services, workshops, financial management, and professional development services to disadvantaged women in New York City.
In conjunction with the theme of Bottomless Closet--an organization that gives away over 40,000 garments a year--the centerpiece of the event is a fashion presentation provided by emerging designers Gwen Beloti, Viva Aviva, astrophel + stella, Caycee Black and Hare + Hart. Well-known designers Tracy Reese, Rebecca Taylor and urban clothier Dr.Jays.com have provided sample loans for the show. 18 fashion and lifestyle bloggers are prepared to rip the runway for these designers and are using their blogging prowess to raise awareness for Bottomless Closet.
Due to the media and PR blitz surrounding t women's jackets he upcoming event, an outstanding response was received from the fashion industry to participate in the upcoming event. Celebrity stylist and fashion guru Lauren Rae Levy will be in attendance and is raffling off her services to a lucky winner at the "Fashion Is Never Bottomless" charity benefit.
Music will be provided by DJ/Designer Haleh Nematzadeh and a live performance by International singer-songwriter Alexis Foxe. Both women are deeply committed to the cause.
Fashion industry professionals, bloggers, philanthropists, social do-gooders, and more are encouraged to attend and show their support of emerging designers and the organization. 75% of the proceeds will go to benefit Bottomless Closet NYC. Guests are welcome to bring and donate items for the accessories drive hosted on-site the night of the event. IRS tax forms will be given with each donation.
